An Overdue "Congratulations!"

Congratulations to Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton, and the rest of the cast and crew for the 4 Emmy nominations the show received in Best Actor in a Drama Series, Best Actress in a Drama Series, Best Drama Series, and Best Writing in a Drama Series!

"Always" (Series Finale-Aired 7-15-11)

(As posted on my other review blog, "Lindz's Reviews"-****-scale)
(SPOILER ALERT) A wonderful, bittersweet series finale! Most of the characters ended up happily living their lives, which seems a bit strange for this series except for the fact that having all of the stories tied up soothes viewers and helps them to move on, as the characters do. The stories were perhaps a little too sentimental at times, but the talented cast makes up for it; they make their characters and stories more real and believable than ever before. I believe that this is partially because they were all feeling emotional in real life as their series came to a close. All in all, this finale made me and probably almost every other viewer realize how much we'll miss this amazing series. ****.

Good Luck FNL!!!

Good luck to Friday Night Lights and its cast as the Emmy nominations come near...as far as I'm concerned, there may as well not be an Emmy race, because no other series or group of actors deserves the honors as much as you.  To Kyle Chandler: you deserved an Emmy years ago, and should have been nominated many more times than you have been.  Talent such as yours is rare, especially when it is found is such a likeable, respectable person as you.  Once again, Good Luck to the cast and crew.

Your show is the only drama I watch with regularity, and it makes me very sad and angry to see it go.  After Early Edition I thought I would never find a series with so much good at its heart, but leave it to Kyle Chandler to bring that feeling back to TV again.  I am getting extremely angry with modern television, and FNL's end may be the last straw for me; if it doesn't win an Emmy or at the very least receive a major nomination, I just might stop watching TV altogether.

Emmy Upset for Kyle and Connie

Well, not only did Kyle and Connie not win their deserved Emmy awards, they also got very tackily snubbed.  And they were NOT the only ones.  I honestly do not know where these failing awards shows are going, but it's. Not. Good. At. All!!!!  The whole last hour of the show was mainly commercials; I honestly think this year's event could have been shortened to one hour.  No joke.
