In The Skin of a Lion

This episode was really good, as usual, but I think maybe we could of seen a little more emotion from some of the characters.  I felt that Brad Leland did a surprisingly good job at making Buddy Garrity an ardent, loyal friend to the Taylors and "betraying" his previously loved Panthers.  I also enjoyed the Matt Seracen and Luke storylines a little more than usual.

A Note to Readers

Don't be too surprised if over the course of Season 4 some of the reviews and the like are a little delayed...I'm in a summer improv troupe and some of our shows are during the episodes.  I'm sorry, and I hope you all understand!

Thanks,

After the Fall

This episode continued in the same way as the last episode, returning once again to the roots of the show with everyone's struggles and realistic moments of human interaction.  Connie Britton plays her no-nonsense Principal Taylor very well as she stands up to new Panthers Head Coach Joe McCoy and his "co-conspirators".  Coach Taylor is much the same when he gets his Lions back on the field after his forfeit of the last game.  This season may well become the best of all time.

East of Dillon

This episode was by far the best episode I've seen in a while.  The show's trademarked subtle humor, believable drama, and high entertainment level were all there, and in good amounts.  The scene in which Coach Taylor yells at one of his new players and kicks multiple players off his team right when he needs every player he can get reminds us of what a good actor Kyle Chandler is and what a believable character he makes of Coach Taylor.  Everyone else is also as good and believable as usual.  The episode was over much too fast.
